Automobile enthusiasts plan to gather at the Hunt County Fairgrounds during the first weekend of April, as they do every year, for the Greenville Swap Meet and Greenville Car Show.
The 17th Annual Swap Meet is scheduled to begin March 31 and the 12th Annual Car Show is scheduled April 1-2.
The Greenville Swap Meet was begun in 2000 by the Northeast Texas Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America as a way to allow automobile enthusiasts to display and/or sell their automobiles and parts and has grown to include more than 350 vendors.
The Greenville Swap Meet will be operating between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. March 31 and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 1-2.
Registration for the Greenville Car Show is from 8 a.m. until noon April 2, the judging starts at 1 p.m., with the awards presented at 3 p.m. There is a $20 entry fee, with dash plaques presented to the first 75 entries and trophies for first and second places in all classes. There will also be door prizes and a 50/50 raffle.
Entry to both events are free, with $3 parking.
