3-day Auto Swap Meet Opens May 3

Antique auto enthusiasts will be coming to Lawrence KS from all over the country in the first weekend of May, looking to buy and sell hard-to-find parts and accessories. The swap meet will be held at the Douglas County fairgrounds from May 3 to May 5. On Friday, the fairgrounds will open at 1 p.m. and close at 10 p.m. The fairgrounds will be open on Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sunday from 7 a.m. to noon. Admission will be free, but parking will cost $5.00.
The swap meet is going to celebrate its 50th anniversary with door prizes, giveaways and a birthday cake.
