Our goal at Big Apple Flea is to create a quality marketplace to serve the local community. Big Apple Flea is a large environment for vendors and shoppers to get together. We strive to add to the community experience by making Big Apple Flea a family destination that is safe and enjoyable. In addition to establishing a valuable area to market quality goods, Big Apple Flea’s other focuses are contributing to local charities and bringing fresh produce and a more “green perspective” to urban areas. Big Apple Flea will have various vendors including but not limited to fresh produce and nursery, savory and delicious foods, curated merchandise such as collectibles, fashion, home, office, and vintage items such as clothing, furniture, and jewelry. In addition to items for sale we will designate a number of pro bono spaces for non-profits, community organizations, and charities to serve the public good.
We don\\\'t just sell groceries. Instead, we take the time to learn the intricacies of the many cultures that we serve. Not every community is the same. Thus, as examples, we are able to provide the Peruvian family with papa seca in order to make a comforting dish of carapulca and the Guatemalan family with plantains in order to create rellenitos de platano. If a family from Mexico requires huitlacoche to make tamales the way they did back home, we actively seek it out and provide it! We understand that \\\"Home\\\" is not just a fading memory of a distant land, but something that can be re-created and experienced every night at the family dinner table. That\\\'s why we\\\'re always searching for new connections throughout the world in order to bring the highest-quality ingredients to our customers.
